Our Used Car Standards

There are hundreds of used car dealerships in the Sacramento area, and probably just about as many philosophies on how to buy, recondition, and resell pre-owned cars, trucks, SUVs and crossovers.  Here at Petrol Auto Sales we sell used cars, but people are the most important part of our business.  We understand the product we sell is a reflection of us, and so we take added steps when it comes to buying used cars, and getting them ready for sale.  Here's how we're different:

The Petrol Auto Sales Standard.

Every car we sell MUST meet our minimum standard for safety, reliability, and function prior to sale, or we won’t sell it.  Here is a little information about our standards:

The first thing we do when we get a new car in our inventory, is actually send it back out!  We don’t employ our own mechanics, and instead trust a local ASE certified shop to do our inspections for us.  What this offers our clients is piece of mind that we aren’t just rubber stamping every car to put it on the front line, and instead we are getting an honest and unbiased opinion on the mechanical and safety condition of the car prior to offering it for sale.

Our mechanics perform a 52-point inspection, along with a road test, and safety check to make sure we’re only putting our license plate frames on a quality car.  Most of our used cars, SUVs, and trucks are actually driven home by our staff prior to offering them for sale.  If something is going to pop up during the daily commute, we'd rather it happen to us than to you.

While it’s not realistic to make every used vehicle perfect, we operate with pride in our products.  We can’t be proud of a product with problems, so we work closely with local specialists to repair or replace anything on our cars that’s not up to snuff.  Our philosophy is, if we wouldn’t sell it to family, it’s not good enough to sell to you.

We encourage you to come see the Petrol Auto Sales difference, and experience one of our high quality pre-owned cars, trucks, SUVs or crossovers.
